Hey Gang,
Last week we were choosing what kind of fairytale song we were going to write,
The popular vote was a New Story. Ive still got no idea what the story will be about though.

So this week we will be looking at 3 tracks that can possibly be used for the song.
Maybe once it has been chosen we can use that to draw inspiration.

yes, one day you will...

Just so you know, these tracks are no where near finsihed…and Im not actually formulating words yet, just making a guiding principal for the song.
Rather like a lump of clay, right now its an ugly pile…but one day it will be something nice.
So lets choose which lump of a guitar track we want to use shall we?

Click the video below to listen to the tracks and then vote below in the comments for your favorite one to make a fairytale song out of.

we will keep this open for about a week or so.

Its close between 1 and three. I had some trouble hearing track 2. On a fairytale basis I go for track one. Keep track 3 though for another song

    Hi Adam

track 1: sounds like a slow intro and than he story gets even faster and tighter and then….united! When I think about words tot go along with it then I can imagine that at first you’ll explain about the girl (or whatever) and the search (can’t reach her) and the reason why you came together after all (finally)!

track 2: It sounds like a very special lovesong…

track 3: souds like a happy song!

So my vote is on no. 1.
But I’ll also like 2 very much (even better I guess) so please write that very special song too!

    So long, greetz Marjon.

Track 2 is awesome en beautifully fragile. If you use it now or not, it has to become a song anyway!

@Marjon. I like the idea, but we have to remember that this song is a fairytale. Not just a prince/princess story.

here is a quick exerpt from wikipedia:

“Fairy tale is a type of short narrative that typically features such folkloric characters, such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, dwarves, giants or gnomes, and usually magic or enchantments. However, only a small number of the stories thus designated explicitly refer to fairies. The stories may nonetheless be distinguished from other folk narratives such as legends (which generally involve belief in the veracity of the events described)[1] and explicitly moral tales, including beast fables.”

I dont really think we need goblins or dwarves, but maybe a personified animal would be fun. Like the wolf from red riding hood. but keep the ideas flowing! anyone else got story suggestions?

    Hi Adam,

Yeah, I know…but I was still thinking about what Mel Cheeky, Cheeky Mel (what was her name again?) said: ‘Why not a modern fairytale?’

You don’t have to be strictly about it, toch?

‘Rules are made to be broken!’

    Have a nice day, Marjon.

    I’ll go for track 2.
Just like Taal says, it sounds fragile and romantic.
I can almost see a lonely faun(you know, with the goat legs) play a song on his flute(or whatever instrument they use) while he’s thinking of his loved one…or something. Or maybe he’s searching for someone. Perhaps he lonely.

Don’t know where that came from, just things that sort of popped up in my head. XD

    Hey Adam
Not sure If my post came up on here or not – I vote track one, but as with many others, you gotta use those other ones sometime very soon!
    Take it easy!
